We are the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, please contact us using the details above.
What we collect
- Details you give us in our cash-offer forms: your name, email address, mobile number, property address and postcode.
- Messages you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email, and anything you tell us about your property and circumstances.
- Technical information: when you submit a form we record the date, time and your IP address to help us spot spam and misuse. Our web host also keeps standard server logs.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a cash offer for your property.
- To arrange a property survey or valuation visit, if you ask for one.
- To progress the purchase of your property if you accept our offer.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as anti-money-laundering checks.
- To protect our website from spam and abuse.
We will not send you marketing you have not asked for, and we never sell your information.
Our legal basis
- Taking steps at your request before a contract: preparing an offer and progressing a sale you have asked us about.
- Legal obligation: identity and anti-money-laundering checks, and keeping records required by law.
- Legitimate interests: running and protecting our website and business, and keeping a record of our conversations with you.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to:
- Solicitors, surveyors and conveyancers involved in buying your property, once you decide to go ahead.
- Our website and email host (Hostinger), which stores our website and the enquiries it sends us.
- Google Fonts, which provides the fonts on this website. Your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
- WhatsApp (operated by Meta), if you choose to message us there. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to those messages.
- Regulators, law enforcement or other authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry but do not sell to us, we keep your details for up to 12 months in case you come back to us, then delete them. If we buy your property, we keep the records of the sale for up to 6 years after completion, as required for legal, tax and anti-money-laundering purposes.
Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
- ask us to transfer your information to another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email info@shropshirepg.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
